Dr. Dee will present a concert of Negro Spirituals in various forms - from classical arrangements to "down-home" to traditional to Civil Rights adaptations. Joined by members of her BYTHAX Ensemble and guest classical pianist, Leonard Hayes, this event will inspire, enlighten & uplift!

About the event
In celebration of Juneteenth, Grace First present the first concert of their annual Summer Concert Series, FREE and open to the public. This event will be a concert of "Negro Spirituals", African-American sacred folk songs created during the era of slavery in the US. Masks required. You will learn about the history and content of this important body of music while enjoying a variety of styles.
