An SATB anthem with piano accompaniment based on Psalm 96:1-4, this is Diane's first anthem written at the age of 19 during her sophomore year at Washington University in St. Louis.  It was written for the Jospeh Price Singers at the request of their director, Joseph Price.  In the polyphonic vamp, you hear borrowings from Handel's Messiah, "Forever and ever, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!"  Written in the 80s, it is still performed by church and community choirs across the country.
